The issues with aesthetic schools...
After a few years in the aesthetics industry one thing that we have discovered is there is a lack of training that will get you ready and skilled enough to get a job in the medical spa field. There are many schools that will certify you after 1-2 days and then send you on your way. We sent several of our staff to these types of schools and all of the nurses came back saying the same thing. I am not ready to inject. The school promised models for the students to practice on and the reality was there was maybe 1 or 2 models for the whole class of 10 or more people. So each student maybe got to inject one time for a few seconds. Not going to help you prepare for a career at all.
What we offer...
After seeing the current state of the industry we decided to act. We designed our school to get you ready to get a job, not just a certification. Our curriculum was designed to teach you everything you need to know. We partnered with doctors and other professionals from around the world to get the best knowledge and the most up to date techniques. Our courses are 1-2 days but our structure is different in that more than half the day is actual hands on practice first with gelatin busts and then with live models. 1-2 models per student and a max of 4 students per class. Its extremely hands on.
Now here is where we set ourselves apart from other schools. At Novare Aesthetics University you will have the opportunity to purchase additional weeks of OJT or on the job training. What that looks like is we will monthly OJT weeks that you can book as many as you feel you need. These weeks will include two 4 hour job shadow days shadowing an experienced injection nurse at one of our med spa locations. You will be going through motions and learning what the typical day for an injection nurse looks like. You will observe charting clients, using the EMR to book/schedule appointments, follow up with clients, how and what to offer a client during the consult and more... The second part of this week you will have a model day where you will have several models to do actual treatments on. You will have an injection nurse to mentor you and help guide you through the procedures but you will get real world hands on experience. You can book as many of these sessions as you think you need.
Even more practice
Once you have reached the level to where you are ready to get hired on at a med spa we will help you find a position either within one of our locations or our sister spa locations. If no positions are available at the moment we will continue to help you locate a position in the med spa industry. Finding that position will be easier with a certification that the industry respects and trusts. Putting a Novare University certification on your resume will let everyone know you are skilled enough to do the job from day one.
